Meet the Bright Babes Team
Jody has owned the centre since 2006 and works in the office to ensure all the administrative duties are taken care of. She has a passion for ensuring quality affordable childcare is available to all families. She is married with 3 teenage/adult girls.
Paula is the Assistant Centre Manager and has been at the centre since 2010. Paula has a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE). Paula spends her time between teaching and management work. She has two high school aged children.
Haylee has been working at Bright Babes since 2010. Hayley has worked in a variety of areas over the years but is well settled in our Infant Room as our Primary Carer for the infants. Hayley is passionate about Primary Care and Respectful Relationships.
Little Toddlers Room
Lara has been with Bright Babes since 2019 and has her Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and Full Registration. Lara has two girls, 1 primary aged child and 1 infant.
Antoinette has been with Bright Babes since 2008. She has a Certificate in Early Childhood Education. She has two adult children and 1 grandchild.
Big Toddlers Room
Stacey has her Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and has been working for Bright Babes since 2016. Stacey has her Full Teacher Registration. Stacey is also a mum to a toddler boy and her primary-aged step son.
Tara has her Diploma of Teaching (ECE) through New Zealand Tertiary College. She has 2 primary aged children. Tara was born in the UK and has been living in New Zealand since 2001.
Kayda has been at Bright Babes since 2018. She has 3 primary school aged boys.
Annabelle is currently studying for her Diploma of Teaching (ECE) with New Zealand Tertiary College in her second year. She is enjoying expanding her knowledge and skills.
Prasanthi has been with the centre since 2006. Prasanthi has a Masters in ECE from Sri Lanka and has completed a Graduate Diploma at Waikato University, and she has her Full Teacher Registration. Prasanthi has one adult daughter.
Kristina has been with Bright Babes since 2007. She has a Bachelor of Education (ECE) from Auckland University and has her Full Registration. Kristina has one middle school aged child and one high school child.
Jo has been working at Bright Babes since 2012. She has her Diploma of Teaching (ECE) and her Full Teacher Registration. Jo has three adult sons and five grandchildren. Jo is also the Head Teacher for the Preschool.
Sarah is currently studying towards her Bachelor of Education (ECE). Sarah is also well-versed in Te Reo Maori and happy to share her knowledge with the teachers and children. Sarah is mum to four children.
Shiela has worked in ECE for many years. She has studied the first two years of her Diploma of Teaching (ECE).
Donna has her Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and her Full Teacher Registration. She has been working for Bright Babes since 2012. Donna also works in our Before and Afterschool Programme. Donna has two adult children.
Sophie has her Diploma of Teaching (ECE) and her Provisional teacher Registration. Sophie is a mother of one primary aged child.
Yvonne provides a full and nutritious meal service for the infant, toddler and preschool buildings. Yvonne comes to us with extensive catering experience. Yvonne is mum to two daughters.
OSCAR (Out of School and Recreation) Programme – Before School Programme
Paula works in our before school programme as well as being our Assistant Centre Manager.
Donna works in our before school programme as well as working in our Kindergarten.
OSCAR (Out of School and Recreation) Programme – Afterschool School Programme
Hollie has been with our team since 2020. Hollie has one toddler boy who attends our centre each day. Hollie enjoys outdoor activities with the children.
Lorelle joined our Afterschool Care Team in 2021. She comes to us with experience in OSCAR programmes and ECE teaching.
Donna works in our Afterschool Care Programme as well as in our Kindergarten and Before School care programme.
Here at Bright Babes we have our own relievers, Arti, Kym and Ripan. They are all very experienced and have been relieving for our centre for quite some time.
