Meet the Bright Babes Team

Management

Jody has owned the centre since 2006 and works in the office to ensure all the administrative duties are taken care of. She has a passion for ensuring quality affordable childcare is available to all families. She is married with 3 teenage girls.
Paula is the Assistant Centre Manager and has been at the centre since 2010. Paula has a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE). Paula spends her time between teaching and admin work. She has two high school aged children.

Infants Room

Antoinette has been with Bright Babes since 2008. She has a Certificate in Early Childhood Education and is our Primary Carer for our infants. Antoinette is passionate about Primary Care and Respectful Relationships. She has two adult children and 1 grandchild.

Little Toddlers Room

Sheree has been with Bright Babes since 2012. She has her Diploma of Teaching (ECE) through Te Tari Puna o te Aotearoa and her Full Teacher Registration. Sheree is Head Teacher for the Infants and Toddlers Building. She has four adult children and is a nana to six grandchildren.

Haylee has been working at Bright Babes since 2010. Hayley has worked in a variety of areas over the years but is well settled into Little Toddlers. Haylee is also the second carer for our infants.

Lara has been with Bright Babes since 2019 and has her Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and Full Registration. Lara has two girls, 1 primary aged child and 1 infant.

Big Toddlers Room

Stacey has her Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and has been working for Bright Babes since 2016. Stacey has her Full Teacher Registration. Stacey is also a mum to a toddler boy and her primary-aged step son.

Raewyn has her Diploma of Teaching (ECE) through University of Waikato. She has 4 adult sons and 10 grandchildren. Raewyn has spent a bit of her life living in Australia and London. Raewyn has been with us since 2018 and has her Full Teacher Registration.

Kayda has been at Bright Babes since 2018. She has 3 primary school aged boys.

Georgie joined the Bright Babes team early 2019 after moving to Hamilton from Te Puke.
Darity has been working at Bright Babes since 2018. She is mum to one primary school aged son and her daughter is in our Preschool.

Preschool

Prasanthi has been with the centre since 2006. Prasanthi has a Masters in ECE from Sri Lanka and has completed a Graduate Diploma at Waikato University, and she has her Full Teacher Registration. Prasanthi has one adult daughter.

Kristaina has been with Bright Babes since 2007. She has a Bachelor of Education (ECE) from Auckland University and has her Full Registration. Kristina has one middle school aged child and one high school child.

Jo has been working at Bright Babes since 2012. She has her Diploma of Teaching (ECE) and her Full Teacher Registration. Jo has three adult sons and five grandchildren. Jo is also the Head Teacher for the Preschool.

Amy has been with the centre since 2019 and currently studying towards her Bachelor of Education (ECE). Amy is mum to two children under the age of 5 and a step mum to 1 primary aged girl.

Hayley joined our team in 2019 after a move from her home town of Whakatane. She is wanting to study for her Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and we look forward to supporting her to compete this.

Kindergarten

Catherine has been working at Bright Babes since 2006. She has her Diploma of Teaching (ECE) and her Full Teacher Registration. Catherine is a mother of two adult children.

Donna has her Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and her Full Teacher Registration. She has been working for Bright Babes since 2012. Donna also works in our Before and Afterschool Programme. Donna has two adult children.

Centre Cook

Michele has been with Bright Babes since 2019. Michele provides a full and nutritious meal service for the infant, toddler and preschool buildings. Michele has her Food Handling and Safety Certificates.

OSCAR (Out of School and Recreation) Programme – Before School Programme

Paula works in our before school programme as well as being our Assistant Centre Manager.

Donna works in our before school programme as well as working in our Kindergarten.

OSCAR (Out of School and Recreation) Programme – Afterschool School Programme

Hollie has been with our team since 2020. Hollie has one toddler boy who attends our centre each afternoon. Hollie enjoys outdoor activities with the children.

Hayley works in both our Preschool room and our Afterschool Programme. She enjoys baking and arts and crafts with the children.

Bridie joined our afterschool care team in 2020. She is currently studying Level 3 Early Childhood with Vision Collage. She comes to us from Pukekohe.

Donna works in our Afterschool Care Programme as well as in our Kindergarten and Before School care programme.

Centre Relievers

Here at Bright Babes we have our own relievers, Alida, Arti and Kym. They are all very experienced and have been relieving for our centre for quite some time.

Kindergarten 

Catherine has been working at Bright Babes since 2006. She has her Diploma of Teaching (ECE) and her Full Teacher Registration. Catherine is a mother of two adult children.

Donna has her Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and her Full Teacher Registration. She has been working for Bright Babes since 2012. Donna also works in our Before and After School Program. Donna has two adult children.

Centre Cook

Rita has been with Bright Babes since the beginning in 2006. Rita provides a full and nutritious meal service for the infant, toddler and preschool buildings. Rita has her Level 5 Food Handling and Safety Certificate. 

OSCAR (Out of School and Recreation) Programme

Skyla is a team member in two areas, the OSCAR Programme in the mornings and during the day in the Little Toddlers room. Skyla has been with the centre since 2015.

Paige has done some papers towards completing her Certificate in Out of School Care and Recreation to support her work at the programme. She hasbeen working for Bright Babes since 2016. Paige also has a Certificate in Early Childhood Health and Care.

Carla join in 2018. She is gaining experience and skills as she finishes offer her last school year. Carla enjoys being busy with the children playing ball games and other outdoor activities.

Centre Relievers

Here at Bright Babes we have our own relievers, Alida, Arti and Kym. They are all very experiences and have been relieving for our centre for quite some time.
